Do you feel responsible for the well-being of your family, your friends and community? Since becoming a mama, have you felt disconnected from the person you were before? Many times, women and especially mothers, are expected to be the burden bearers for everyone in their lives while their cups are filled and they suffer in silence. This space is for you to feel heard, understood, and flourish. Whether you are facing a major life decision, going through a transition, a new mom or need to learn how to better manage the anxiety and depression, let's help you come back to a place where you feel connected to yourself.
I have created a safe and nurturing space for melanated women and mamas to be heard. As a licensed psychologist, my clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, relationship challenges and other women's issues. My niche includes working with melanated mamas from conception through pregnancy, the perinatal period, postpartum and beyond into motherhood. My approach is integrative, interpersonal and acknowledges each individual's unique lived experience.
I bring my experience(s) as a Black woman, mama, and wife, into this sacred space of healing (in addition to my professional identity). A space where other Black and Brown - melanated women and mamas can talk openly without fear or judgment about the mental challenges that come with mothering and being a melanated woman in this world.
