There are times in life when we may feel weak, alone, and insecure. We may experience worry, inadequacy, and fear rejection. Life has a way of bringing challenges our way and we may often feel as though we have no where to turn. It can be easy to attempt to deal with things on our own, but my goal is to affirm that you don't have to. Having a social support system in place is necessary. With my practice I strive to be a source of support as you seek to address your concerns and head toward a path of healing.
I’m ready to help you cope with feelings, problem solve, gain new insights, and change behavior patterns that may be causing you distress. I work with clients in treating a number of issues, including women's issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and situational stressors and adjustment concerns. I have a passion for working with diverse populations, particularly diversity issues such as Single Black Women, African American Marriage, and Black Women in Higher Education. I am also a former athlete and have additional training in the field of sport psychology.
