I have experience working with clients of varying ages, gender identities, cultural backgrounds, blended families, immigration statuses, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and complex trauma. I use the client’s histories to gain a sense of the tangible ways in which social determinants influence health and wellbeing. My therapeutic style with children and adolescents is a collaborative open space that allows children to freely express themselves through play, talk, movement, fun, and more.
I utilize an integrative approach that pulls from psychodynamic, strength-based, person-centered, sex-positive, cognitive-behavioral, play, expressive art, and relationally focused theories. I believe therapy is a place to understand the self, how one is experienced by others, and experience a healing connection with another person.
Our relationships with others, society, and traumas we experience at a personal and systemic level influence who we are. I am committed to providing psychotherapy that helps clients identify, understand, and process their emotions and experiences. I will strive to meet you where you are and collaborate to create a comfortable and meaningful space with you.
