Description

I am a licensed health services provider psychologist who works with adults using an integrative clinical approach. I use various techniques combined in a personalized way, alongside a consistent framework, to address what clients would like to be different in their lives. This grounds treatment in a firm understanding of: clients’ identities, histories, & values; as well as the mind-body-spirit connection. Emphasis is placed on context, meaning-making, & the therapeutic relationship as central to the change process. I specialize in working with members of historically marginalized groups; especially women of color.

I view therapy as a collaborative, goal-oriented process in which I support clients to make meaningful changes in their lives. I strive to create a supportive, challenging environment that builds on clients’ existing strengths & resilience, & fosters empowerment. Coping skills development & greater understanding of relationship to self & others is integral.

Clients often describe me as: warm, understanding, & empathic; & express appreciation for my use of: humor, directness, & authenticity during our clinical interactions. I have extensive experience providing therapy in multiple settings including: private practice, university counseling, & community mental health centers.

To help you make an informed decision, I offer new clients a FREE 30-minute initial consultation by phone. Currently I am only accepting teletherapy clients. I do not contract with insurance companies but provide all necessary documentation for clients to submit for reimbursement.
