Description

I work with people who are motivated for change and growth, but may need some additional support in using coping skills or identifying healthy strategies to achieve goals. It is natural to experience relational, work, or familial stressors and to need help identifying ways to balance and engage in self-care. People also are likely to need a safe space to process grief and loss, past trauma, or other life disappointments. Coping strategies, self-care techniques, and a safe space to process can all be expected throughout the therapeutic process.

Through use of various techniques, I help individuals gain greater meaning and insight into their various experiences. It may involve ways to manage negative thinking, making adjustments in routines, or establishing boundaries in relationships/environments. An integrated approach is used to explore an individuals' background and culture.

I am a psychologist who aspires to practice what I preach. I value honesty, respect, boundaries, and self-care. I also never underestimate the power of humor in the human connection. It is imperative that one feels safe and experience the opportunity to truly feel heard and validated in the therapeutic process.

Areas of focus: Relationship issues, work-life balance, cultural/racial identity issues, anxiety, depression, trauma
