I do more than listen; I actively participate in my conversations with clients. I'll empathize, at times we'll laugh, we'll connect and we'll work together to navigate your challenges. This is a place where you can be yourself, without fear of judgment, and where our sessions will feel like a transformational experience instead of a sterile appointment.
As a senior clinician with over 20 years of experience, I've helped people manage the impact of challenges such, but not limited to: trauma, anxiety, and depression on their lives. Many of my clients have overcome challenges that they once thought were insurmountable. I know it may seem easier said than done, but I've seen clients achieve great success.
You and I will initially have a free 15-minute telephone consultation where we explore your questions, discuss a summary of why you're looking for therapy and get a preliminary idea of whether we are a good "fit" for each other. When our work begins you will have a safe space to share your story and explore your challenges, identify patterns, and gain new insights. I want to strike the right balance between supporting you, challenging you and collaborating with you to identify solutions and strategies. You can expect me to be empathetic, attentive, and even humorous at times. Therapy with me is interactive, relaxed, and transformative.
My approach is rooted in social justice, cultural humility, holistic wellness, and a deep respect for your personal journey. Your particular version of living a satisfying life is important to me. I believe that you deserve a therapeutic space that promotes your unique values while promoting your well-being.
By the end of our first session, most of my clients said they felt more relaxed and had disclosed more to me than they had to others. I'm not a cold, sterile therapist, and my relaxed, informal nature invites clients to be more themselves when we meet. I would love to support you!
