Description
I truly believe that my success as a therapist is not found in what I can do for a client, but who I can be for the client. As a clinician, the foundation of who I am is displayed through the relationship that I build with clients and the instillation of hope that is provided. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland and have been since 2015. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bowie State University. I am currently finishing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
As a clinician, I strive to deliver holistic care that looks at the entire person. I look at therapy as a collaborative effort that helps to foster the desired change both inward and outward. My professional experience consists of working with adults, adolescents, and children. I have worked in community mental health, school, and private settings. I value all individuals and the different backgrounds that they represent. I specialize in working with individuals presenting with trauma, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, and self-esteem. I also enjoy working with children of immigrants and helping them to navigate their mental wellness.
I look forward to working with you and offer you courage for the journey ahead!
