My counseling and consultation practice recognizes that when it comes to seeking therapy, you may just want more for yourself than what you are experiencing now. Therefore, the goal is to help you name what you are feeling or experiencing, and empower you to find answers, gain insights, and change. This comes from exploration and perspective taking with an informal approach of warmth, gentle directness, and compassion. I address many concerns but focus mainly on the following: toxic and stressful workplaces, stress, identity development and exploration, adjustment and major life transitions, work-life balance, family conflict, and racial trauma/racism.
Heavily trained in social justice and multiculturalism, it is important to meet you where you are in the healing process and pay attention to culture, family, and societal contexts that impact us. The key ingredients for a positive experience in therapy are having a counselor that is genuine, listens well, and provides support without judgment.
