Description

My approach to treatment is collaborative; I believe people are experts on themselves, and my role is to create a healing space that allows you to develop the tools needed to cultivate adequate coping resources. I emphasize building healthy relationships with the self, and others as a path to wellness. My style strikes a balance between providing empathy, and warmth when needed, and accountability and structure when appropriate. As a Black woman, I am also committed to social justice, and incorporate multicultural theory, social context, and power dynamics into my conceptualization, and interventions. I look forward to working together.
