Doranna Tindle is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist at the Center for Effective Psychological Services in Washington, DC., where she specializes in the treatment of complex trauma and attachment. A passionate teacher and educational leader for more than 20 years, Doranna is focused on working at the intersections of language, literature, and culture to inspire individual and collective healing and transformation. Doranna is also a dedicated practitioner of mindfulness meditation in the Insight tradition, a student in the Mindfulness Teacher Certification Program, and a certified practitioner of levels 1 and 2 of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-based treatment for trauma. She earned her MSW at Catholic University and is currently completing a PhD in clinical social work and psychodynamic psychology at the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago. Doranna is a fellow at the Joseph Palombo Center for Neuroscience and Psychoanalytic Social Work and a Psychoanalytic Writing Fellow in New Directions at the Washington-Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis in Washington, DC.
