I am Donnisha Lavigne, licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and board-certified counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College and my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. I have been working in the mental health field for over 5 years. I am trained to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked in various settings including private practice, corrections, crisis stabilization units, and community agencies.
I have experienced many challenges in both personal and career aspects of my life that through holistic care I have been able to face and overcome. My personal experiences navigating life while coping with psychiatric disorders has given me a unique perspective when providing mental health services to others. Although everyone's journey is different, I believe that knowing that you are not alone can provide a sense of peace and comfort to those experiencing mental health challenges. I am dedicated to helping all clients find peace amid life challenges, face their obstacles, and achieve their personal definition of success.
I want to commend you for taking the first step in improving your mental wellness. This difficult first step will ultimately be a catalyst for positive change in your overall quality of life and I would be honored to be a part of your mental wellness journey!
