Description

"Peace. It doesn't mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." - Unknown

I define resilience as, the ability to repeatedly find your way back to love, joy, inner peace, hope, and connection. The things that truly give life purpose and meaning.

In my practice I support clients in achieving their optimal mental health. I do this from a holistic health and wellness perspective with the knowledge that our mind, body, soul, careers, relationships, environment, and finances impact our mental health and wellbeing.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and yoga instructor with a passion for holistic health and wellness. I integrate my training in psychotherapy, yoga, mindfulness meditation, and health coaching, to support my clients in reaching and sustaining optimal cognitive, social, and emotional health and wellbeing. We will work collaboratively to identify and overcome the limiting core beliefs, indoctrinations, and stressors that prevent you from living on and in your purpose.

I obtained my masters in social work from Clark Atlanta University and completed post-graduate training at Yale University School of Medicine Child Study Center. I am a former staff member of the Emory University Student Counseling Center.

I have been in full-time private practice in the Atlanta, GA, area for over 10 years where I provide individual and group psychotherapy services to college undergraduate and graduate students, adolescent girls and adults. I utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, holistic health coaching, movement, mindfulness meditation, breathwork and trauma sensitive yoga in my work with clients. I am a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor.

I am licensed in Georgia, DC, and Florida.

While I primarily provide telehealth services, I am happy to schedule an in-person initial session for those residing in the Atlanta, GA area.

In addition to individual and group therapy, I also offer retreats for Black women. My retreats focus on creating holistic health and wellness lifestyle practices to support Black women's overall health, wellness, and longevity.
