Description
I am Domenique Harrison, the founder of The Racial Equity Therapist, and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California as well as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) licensed in both California and Minnesota. My practice is dedicated to offering culturally conscious therapy for Black, Indigenous, Women and Femmes of Culture, LGBTQIA+, and multiracial individuals and couples. My aim is to empower you to become relationally healthy, heal from intergenerational trauma, navigate your identity with integrity, and foster authentic connections.
**My Therapeutic Approach:**
My style is direct, compassionate, and based on anti-oppressive and Black feminist frameworks. I create a brave and affirming space for you to explore your racialized narratives, personal history, and relational dynamics. I incorporate Somatic Practices and Brainspotting to help you reconnect with your body and process trauma, while also employing Relational Life Therapy to build accountability and maturity in your relationships. Working with me feels like a collaborative journey where transformation is possible through openness, honesty, and mutual trust.
**My Focus:**
I primarily work with women and femmes of the global majority, multiracial couples, and LGBTQIA+ communities navigating racial trauma, anxiety, and relationship conflict. If you're seeking to improve communication, deepen self-awareness, and develop healthier relationships, you're in the right place. I am here to help you confront unconscious biases and unhealthy family narratives to support your emotional well-being.
**Let's Connect:**
If you are ready to take healthy emotional risks, live with integrity, and engage in a therapeutic process that honors your lived experience, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work toward a more authentic and connected life.
