I am a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental counselor with experience working with adolescents and adults. I have experiencae working with adolescents and adults in various settings including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient therapy. I believe that while we cannot control every aspect of the world around us, we can take control of how we interpret and deal with things in our environment. I am passionate about working with adults and teens to help them embrace and value themselves, and navigate life’s transitions and adversities. I strive to create a safe therapeutic environment to decrease the stigma of mental illness in the Black community and to normalize conversations about mental through honest and empathic therapy process.

In my approach, I believe in focusing on the client's needs and finding out what has been working, and what has not. I enjoy helping clients increase their knowledge and awareness of ineffective patterns and replacing them by implementing more positive patterns in their routines. I strive to provide a safe environment enabling growth and self-confidence. I aim to be a guide while simultaneously empowering her clients during the therapeutic process. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, but have an eclectic approach overall. I believe it is important to be multifaceted since therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so therapy will be an assimilation of different techniques that are catered to client needs.

I earned her B.S. from Southern University A&M College in Business Management and M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas.
