I believe everyone deserves to be happy in life, but the journey to happiness can be a long and hard road. It’s my passion to aid in the navigation for those who find themselves lost and stuck. Let’s face it, we all need help sometimes. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to assist in processing and exploring: depression, anxiety, trauma/abuse, grief, family conflict, and relational concerns. I specialize in women's issues, cultural issues, and working with clients from underrepresented backgrounds. Members of underrepresented backgrounds often have issues related to their specific populations that impact their mental health and relationships. I think it's valuable to explore how those unique issues impede them on their journey to happiness.
Empowering those I work with is an essential value of mine. You are the expert on yourself and need to learn to trust you know what is best for you. I love to incorporate mindfulness, meditation, and art therapy techniques into my therapeutic approach. I provide my clients with a direct yet gentle approach. I invest in each client to create an environment of safety and comfort, tailoring my approach to individual needs. Everyone’s journey will look different. That’s the beauty of it. There’s more than one path to get you to where you want to be.
I utilize a small dog to offer comfort and support to clients who need physical comfort. Not a dog lover, no problem. Little Bear is happy to sit in my lap for the duration of the session. I offer teletherapy sessions on Thursday from 12 pm - 7 pm and in-person sessions on Friday, Saturday, and Monday from 12 pm - 7 pm.
