Desiree DeShay, MSW is a graduate of Grambling State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of California State Long Beach. She began her career as a Medical Social Worker for Kaiser Permanente specializing in Geriatric Care. Her clinical experience expands over 20+ years of providing individual and group counseling to a range of populations including women, men, LGBTQI2S presenting with depression, anxiety, traumatic life experiences and challenges with intimacy issues in relationships. She has also worked at risk youth, children and adolescents and their families. Currently, she works for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health as a Mental Health Training Coordinator in the Strategic Communications Division and she is also an adjunct professor for Pepperdine University School of Education and Psychology. She provides clinical/therapy services under the supervision of Dr. Teri Davis, licensed clinical psychologist, and owner of TD Wellness Services- Los Angeles.
