Licensed Professional Counselor - I will use a combination of techniques in the framework of the following; Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, and Person-Centered with understanding the importance of the client playing an important role in his or her own recovery.
As a therapist I hold these qualities to be crucial to a therapeutic relationship, transformation and healing. These are attributes that I value and offer to clients in our work together. Effective psychotherapy is not simply talking about your problems. It is about working towards solutions for the things you can change and accepting the things you cannot change. In essence the goal of psychotherapy is to help you "weather" the storms of life with a greater sense of calmness and confidence so that you can continue to grow and evolve.
