Description
I’m a licensed therapist who specializes in supporting Black women who have spent most of their lives being the strong one, the responsible one, and the emotional anchor for everyone around them. Many of the women I work with grew up in families where their feelings weren’t nurtured, their needs went unnoticed, or their emotional struggles were dismissed as “having an attitude,” “being dramatic,” or “too sensitive.”
On the outside, my clients look accomplished, dependable, and put-together.
On the inside, they feel overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected from themselves, and unsure of who they are when they’re not performing or carrying the weight for everyone else.
In therapy, I provide a calm, grounded space where you don’t have to be strong, perfect, or composed. You don’t have to shrink yourself, over-explain yourself, or translate your experience. You get to be fully human. You get to exhale.
My work focuses on helping Black women heal from emotional neglect, people-pleasing, identity wounds, anxiety, burnout, and the pressure to always hold it together. I use a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, CBT, and a trauma-informed, culturally attuned approach to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your patterns, and build a sense of worthiness that isn’t tied to achievement or over-functioning.
I believe Black women deserve spaces where softness is allowed, boundaries are respected, and healing is not rushed.
If you’re tired of feeling “never enough,” if life feels heavy, or if you’re simply longing to feel like yourself again, I’d love to support you on that journey.
