I specialize in working with Black clients from all over the world. If life has been more difficult than usual or stress and anxiety have become more and more frequent. Maybe you’ve experienced sadness or low mood and can't quite figure out why. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed with life in general. Maybe you just need to work through some thoughts and feelings to help make decisions, or transition through life stages. Whatever it is I am here with an attentive ear to offer empathy and compassion. To empower, encourage, uplift and provide a safe space to work through the issues of life. I work from a General Systems theoretical model. I pay attention to themes and patterns that may be unhelpful and help to interrupt those patterns. I offer a different perspective and help you find clarity and insight. My approach is unique to each client. I use interventions from multiple theoretical orientations i.e. Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Experiential, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution Focused. I know It's hard when you feel like you should be able to solve problems on your own. Admitting you could use a little help is a sign of strength often perceived as weakness.
