My name is Danielle Oates and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor- Associate, advocate and business owner. I am glad that you are here to seek therapy and support. I have worked in a clinical counseling setting as part of a crisis intervention team for many years. I am currently working for a community mental health agency as an outpatient therapist. I obtained certification and training on parent advocacy for children with special needs from The Federation of Children with Special Needs in Boston, MA. I specialize in finding coping skills and techniques for anger management, behavior and mood disorders, depression, relational conflict and trauma.
I practice evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Conflict Resolution Therapy. I have an associate and bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in mental health counseling with an emphasis in trauma and addiction. I believe it is my responsibility to stretch and reach those who are lead to me personally and professionally without judgment.
My objective is to build trust, integrity and a therapeutic connection to begin working towards empowering individuals to changing distorted thoughts, behaviors or challenges in a person’s life.
