Has a loss left you reeling and unable to cope? Or maybe you have steeled yourself so that you don’t feel pain like that again. Either extreme can impair your ability to function in a healthy way. Grief and loss are an inevitable part of the human experience, but confronting loss can be hard and can shake even the strongest person to the core - threatening your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. If you can relate (regardless of what you’ve lost) I invite you to explore therapy.

Any perceived loss can be grieved. You or a loved one diagnosed with a chronic illness. A loved one’s addiction. Break-up/divorce. Retirement/ job loss. Infertility. Absent or unavailable parents. All of these experiences can take something from us.

I want to help individuals and/or families experience good grief. I will meet you where you are and provide a judgment-free place where you can explore and process the fullness of what your loss means for you. I can help you understand the role that psychosocial development and environment play in your experience. We will work together to identify coping skills that are as unique as you are. I will support you as you navigate this transition, learn how to find meaning and live fully in spite of your loss.

My loss experiences are what led me to pursue a Masters in Social Work from The University of Georgia. There I focused on the role that faith plays in domestic violence interventions and grief and loss. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have experience working with grief, domestic violence and accountability courts. For the past 6 years I have worked in the medical field helping individuals and families navigate the impact of chronic illness on themselves as well as the family system. This work has allowed me to help people work through depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, burnout and crisis. I also have an interest in working with children affected by domestic violence homicides and their new families. To this end I am committed to ongoing education, training and certification in the areas of trauma, grief, domestic violence and attachment. I am also able to incorporate faith into the therapeutic process if requested.
