I am a Detroit Native who recently returned to Michigan. Prior to my return home, I resided in Oklahoma where I attended Langston University. By earning a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, I am now able to pursue my passion as a Mental Health Therapist. I have experience working with adults, “At risk” youth, facilitating parenting and anger management groups, as well as Individual and Family Therapy.
I possess compassion and a passion for working with “At risk” youth, adolescent boys, men, and individuals in need of a safe space to process feelings and manage their mental health. I consider myself a multicultural therapist, and utilize a variety of methodologies, inclusive of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Behavioral Strategies, Solution-Focused Therapy, Humanistic and Person Centered Therapy. It is my belief that focusing on the individual and their unique experiences is important to the therapeutic process and truly beneficial to one's mental health.
