Society often tells us to "suck it up" or "just get it done", leaving little room for the human experience, which includes our emotions and general wellbeing. My training as a therapist began working with clients who witnessed or experienced childhood trauma. I am keenly aware of how our past shows up in our present, if we do not put in the work to create a different outcome.
