My name is Mrs. Edwards,. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with over 25 years of experience working with Children and Families. I have been providing individual and group therapy services since 2009. I have worked with children and adolescence from ages 3-19, young and mature adults who have experienced the challenges of life that throw us off track. I believe that it is critically important for you to find a therapist that is a good fit for you. You should choose a therapist that will allow you the space to express yourself without fear of judgment. I will meet you where your are on your journey and support you to reach your personal and therapeutic goals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including trauma, emotional and domestic abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, work stress, career changes, separation, divorce, and ADHD.
My counseling approach is warm, welcoming and transparent. I believe that everyone deserves respect, understanding, transparency, forgiveness, compassion, empathy and hope, I utilize a myriad of therapeutic approaches including but not limited to, cognitive-behavioral, family systems therapy, short term therapy, solution focused therapy, humanistic, psycho-dynamic and integrated therapy to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. You deserve to live a full life that includes, peace, hope, healing, fulfillment and security. We can work together to talk through your life challenges, develop a treatment plan to achieve your therapeutic goals and develop healthy coping strategies that you can implement effectively.
