Are you someone who’s recovering from substance abuse and use or addiction? There are numerous common challenges an addict faces in recovery such as developing new coping strategies, addressing trauma and shame without using, boredom, building new relationships and repairing old ones, finding purpose in life and lastly relapse. Maintaining a daily schedule and keeping an established routine is needed and I want to help you do so. I understand that what you may be dealing with is difficult and I would like to work with you so that you gain clarity and a better understanding of what has brought you to this place at this time.
I use CBT to help you gain clarity and find ways to cope with the issues that are causing you to turn to substances. I also aim to help you gain confidence so that you become aware of your abilities to make positive changes for yourself and use role play to help prepare you for situations that arise.
I create a safe space and environment for you to speak freely and address any issues. The time we spend together during your therapeutic journey is about you and I am here to work with you to reach your goals. I work with teens, adults, and elders and would love to work with you.
