Description
"It is truly an honor to be a part of someone’s journey as they harness new strength to accomplish their goals."
I am a born and bred North Carolinian, born in Charlotte, NC & raised in Raleigh, NC. I attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I received my Bachelor's in Psychology in 2007. Shortly thereafter I received my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2012.
Over the past decade, I have worked in a myriad of therapeutic settings, including a Juvenile Detention Center, Substance Abuse Treatment residential programs, Juvenile Sex Offender residential programs, Juvenile Psychiatric Treatment facilities, as well as In-home therapeutic services.
My experience has allotted me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults with varying mental health & behavioral needs. I believe that each client is an expert in his or her life with my role being to support and guide each person to a healthier version of themselves.
I find myself continually in awe of the natural human capacity for resilience, and continue to be inspired by my clients’ abilities to uncover strengths they did not know they had. It is truly an honor to be a part of someone’s journey as they harness that strength to accomplish their goals; whether it be to heal, let go, or grow and ultimately thrive.
When I am not assisting my clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, great conversation with friends, exploring new restaurants and serving at my local church.
