Description

Transitioning into a new space questioning who you are and who you’d like to become? Feeling lost in others’ expectations and trying to become more authentically you? Who are you at your core, what do you want and how do you get there? As a Black woman navigating these questions in new spaces, I know how challenging the journey can be. Together we’ll work to empty the closets and dump everything out onto the floor sifting through the junk to find the real of who you are. We’ll work to make you feel like home to yourself so that no matter the space, you are comfortable, confident, and uniquely you. How does that sound?
I earned my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University (a historically Black college) and am currently finishing my PhD in counselor education at East Carolina University. I have experience in mental health since 2015 working consistently with self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
I exclusively offer online telehealth therapy to be the most accessible to best help you. My approach to therapy has been described as warm, freeing, and gentle. I understand that spirituality, morals/ values, childhood, and culture are all important in understanding who you are as a person. I work to incorporate these to best help you in your journey. I am so excited for you and your journey. Let’s get to work!
