Description

I know what it's like to be the high-achiever who has it together on paper and is quietly falling apart on the inside. I lived it. That's not a marketing angle. That's how I found integrative psychiatry.
I'm a PhD-prepared, dually board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of clinical experience across inpatient and outpatient settings. I'm a Baltimore native, a Coppin State and West Virginia University alumna, and the first Black woman to complete a PhD in Nursing at WVU. I'm also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
What makes my practice different isn't just the credentials. It's what I do with them. I trained inside traditional psychiatry and I use those tools. But I don't stop there. I practice integrative and functional psychiatry, which means I'm looking at your hormones, your genetics, your nervous system, your sleep, your history, and your labs, not just your symptoms. If you've been told everything looks normal and you still don't feel right, I believe you.
The women I work with are high-achieving, often women of color, who are functioning but not thriving. They're not looking for someone to just manage their anxiety. They want to understand what's actually driving it, and what becoming well, not just stable, could actually feel like.
As a mother of four, I'm not speaking from a distance. I'm in it with you.
