Description
I’m Clarissa Cannon, a mother of two beautiful girls and a therapist with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. I have a clinical background in community mental health, servicing foster youth and Community Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) experiencing suicidal ideation and depression. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, being in nature, and spending time with my girls.
I focus on helping clients create a more fulfilling life filled with joy, happiness, peace, and hope through shifting the narratives of their story. If they are ready to do the necessary task to change their current state of feeling and being, I can help create a balanced, and customized, treatment plan for their needs. In therapy I tend to lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem Solving Therapy, Mindfulness, and Client-Centered Therapy approaches.
A session with me could be described as self-awakening, liberating, and a sense of freedom! I emphasize clients feeling encouraged and empowered to back control of their life! I love what I do and I care about the people I work with. Working with me will showcase that.
