As a first generation Egyptian immigrant and a person of color, Christy is familiar with how intersectional identities, race and culture play a role in mental health and wellbeing.
Christy specializes in working with adults struggling with relationship issues, acculturation challenges, life transitions, anxiety, and body image/food challenges. She also has years of experience and a passion for working with children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, selective mutism, behavioral issues and supporting parents through these challenges.
Christy is trained in approaches including, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention. She is also a certified yoga teacher and can support at home yoga sessions. She believes passionately that mental health is connected to every aspect of our self and our communities.
