Description
I am a graduate of Howard University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. I have a Master’s Degree from Troy University in Counseling & Psychology, concentrating in Clinical Mental Health. My clinical experience includes specialized training in the treatment of survivors of domestic violence (IPV), sexual assault and trauma. Additionally, I have experience treating clients struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment to life events and other mental health concerns. I serve those located in Alabama, Ohio, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
I recognize the trauma that continues to be experienced by Black, Indigenous and People of Color. I recognize the pervasive effects of systemic racism and multigenerational racial trauma on the mental and emotional well-being of Black people. I support the wellness of the diaspora by using culturally-competent, African-centered modalities to achieve wellness.
