Description

Are you ready to begin your healing journey? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

I am a two-time graduate of the Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University with eight years of professional experience. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, my passion for therapy was inspired by witnessing the resilience and challenges within my community.

I founded Mastering My Reality because I believe healing begins when we learn to understand and master our emotions. My approach combines evidence-based practices with the Afrocentric Perspective, recognizing the importance of culture, community, and spirituality in the healing process.

As a faith-informed therapist, I honor each client’s beliefs and can incorporate spirituality into therapy when desired, including Christian, Islamic, African Traditional, and other faith traditions. My goal is to provide a safe, culturally responsive, and judgment-free space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered.

I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD-related challenges, stress, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem, behavioral issues, and major life transitions. I tailor therapy to each client’s developmental and emotional needs. With children, I use play, art, and creative expression. With teens, I provide support for identity development, peer relationships, family conflict, and academic pressures. With adults, I help clients heal from past experiences, strengthen relationships, manage life’s challenges, and build healthier coping skills.

Together, we’ll increase self-awareness, develop practical tools for growth, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also partner with parents and caregivers to support children’s progress beyond the therapy room.

I look forward to supporting you as you begin your journey toward mastering your reality.
