Finding a therapist with whom you can truly connect, especially as a black woman, can feel like a scary and stressful undertaking. In our darkest moments, it is important that we find spaces where we can be seen, heard, and understood. Where we do not have to wonder if we have the benefit of the doubt, but can be assured that we will be held well and heard openly. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of challenges who wish to develop a healthy relationship with themselves and with others. I understand how overwhelming the journey towards wholeness can be and I'm here to partner with you in making changes that will empower you to move forward and become your most authentic self. Together, we will work on identifying the changes you want to make and developing the skills needed to get you there.
I'm a licensed professional counselor specialising in childhood emotional neglect, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, racial identity and trauma, and life transitions. I use an integrative approach combining EFT and AEDP techniques within an attachment-based framework. I am committed to providing a compassionate, caring space for black women to lay down the cultural, familial, and social burdens that bind us and work to cultivate an environment where your painful experiences and daily struggles will be held well and transformed through growth and acceptance.
