Description
I believe the essence of human nature is complex, layered, and deeply connected. As a psychotherapist, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, validated, and heard—where every part of their identity is welcomed with care and respect. Our life stories are shaped by the systems we navigate and the identities we hold. Because of this, my approach is intentionally decolonizing, recognizing that healing is both deeply personal and inherently political.
I’m passionate about helping clients reclaim their narratives, challenge internalized messages, and explore the intersections of who they are. My work is grounded in a range of evidence-based approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Liberation Psychology, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I tailor treatment to each client’s needs with an emphasis on curiosity, collaboration, and autonomy.
I specialize in working with neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC clients, as well as those practicing or exploring consensual/ethical non-monogamy. I support individuals navigating complex trauma, identity exploration, perfectionism, grief, mood and anxiety challenges, and perinatal and reproductive mental health. My work is rooted in the values of fat liberation, Black liberation, anti-racism, and sex worker decriminalization.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School. My clinical background includes working in long-term residential mental health settings with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, psychosis, and mood disorders. Across all settings, I am committed to providing affirming, trauma-informed care that honors the whole person.
