I have a passion for working with Moms and New Moms. As a mother myself,  I understand the importance of prioritizing the care of ourselves to provide a nurturing and good enough environment for our kiddos, no matter how old.

Let's face it, whether it's your first or your sixth, Motherhood is overwhelming and it can definitely feel lonely and unsettling.  Many Moms may have scary thoughts and find themselves full of doubt, self-loathing and maybe even disappointment as they adjust to a role that is highly romanticized.  Other Moms may feel confident but also worried about returning to work or leaving their new little one in the care of others for long periods of time.  Still, many Moms will also feel the weight of taking second place when there is so much support they may need for themselves.  The truth is, there is no right or wrong way to feel about Motherhood - even if those feelings or thoughts seem unspeakable. It is normal to struggle in adjusting to the new role as Mom of one, two or eight!

I aim to honor you in this sacred transition.  I endeavor to create a safe space to process through the challenging yet rewarding experience of Motherhood.   I’ll also help you remember that you are human, and your vulnerabilities are your also strengths.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University and I am currently completing a certificate in Play Therapy at Capella University. I’ve had the pleasure of attending PSI Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care training and am in the process of becoming a Certified Perinatal Specialist. I am also a Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula through ProDoula.

I work with Teens (14 and up) and Adults and specialize in treating the following issues: Post Partum Depression and Anxiety, Depression, Anxiety, Parenting, Stress and Burnout, Boundary Related Issues and ADHD.

Relatability, understanding, empathy and humor are guiding elements for what you can expect to experience in our sessions. I am a trauma-informed therapist and I work with a variety of treatment modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy.
