Description
Blessings and Welcome! My name is Bolu Dosumu, LCSW. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor/Therapist with a passion to help others discover their best "you." In other words, I recognize that you are a different and unique individual...there is no one else you are meant to be but YOU! Externally, I looked like I had it all together-being a good daughter, a good friend, a good sister, a good mother, a good wife, a good person. However, I soon realized that while I “looked” good, I didn’t “feel” good. I was not operating at a level that added to me being the optimal ME. After gaining some deep insight, with the assistance of others, I realized that I was not alone in this struggle. Sharing from my own professional training and experiences, I desire to help others reach the goal of being their best “you.”
As a Nigerian-American, who is a Christian, I am drawn to working with those that struggle with cultural and spiritual identity or trauma.
Certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional, I am EMDR trained and utilize my professional expertise and personal experience to partner with my clients in discovering "who they really are," apart from what society claims them to be.
Recently I have hired other clinicians that look like the people we want to serve. Ini is also a Nigerian American, Becca is Jewish and Noah is a Spanish speaker. All of us desire to serve the BIPOC community and make them feel welcome and culturally safe.
At Glasshouse, we utilize the following therapeutic interventions: EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, ACT, Trauma-Informed, Solution Focused, Client-Centered, Existential, Eclectic, and Psychodynamic.
