My name is Ayanna A. Oliver, M.S., LMHC (She/Her), and I want to welcome you to the next chapter of your life. Given the uncertainty and collective trauma in our world today now is an ideal time to start therapy and begin uncovering the best version of yourself—because that person is patiently waiting to be revealed.
As you consider working with me, I have dedicated myself to creating an authentic, nurturing, supportive, and, most importantly, non-judgmental therapeutic space.
I prefer to approach therapy holistically because when you have experienced trauma, it's essential to work towards becoming your whole self again. Some of my theoretical approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), among others.
As a new client, you'll be in good hands. I have extensive experience working with adults, mature adult populations, and adolescents (ages 15-19). I have provided therapy to clients individually, as couples, and in group sessions. I applaud you for taking the brave step to walk through the door.
