In the words of writer and activist Audre Lorde, “Caring for myself is not self indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political revolution.”
If you’re yearning for a revolution in your life, I want to be the therapist to help you get there. Whether you’re struggling to manage depression, seeking relief from anxiety, or looking for ways to get past the burdens of grief or trauma, I can help.
As a therapist, I’ll work with you to build new skills and insights, and to develop a more compassionate, joyful relationship with yourself and others. I’m committed to understanding the big picture context of your life—like your culture, workplace, family, and community—so that the skills you build will be immediately practical in your day-to-day experience. We’ll hone your existing strengths while we address the areas you’re struggling.
I’m experienced working with people of color, women, parents, families and folks working in social justice and healing professions. My work uses an anti-oppression lens, and I often work with my clients to address how racism, sexism, homophobia, and other experiences of injustice impact our mental health. I also have specialized training in a variety of modalities for addressing trauma-related problems.
Stella Nova Psychology, Inc., is located in downtown San Francisco. You can visit our website at www.stellanovawomen.com to learn more about me and our entire team of therapists to find one who is the best match for you.
Please note: In addition to Out of Network, we also accept FSA/HSA. Unfortunately, I am not able to work with clients located physically outside of California at this time.
