In my work with African, Caribbean American and African American women, I facilitate processing and developing short and long-term coping strategies for anxiety, depression, family of origin challenges, cultural expectations and layers of generational and individual trauma including the psychological impact of COVID-19 (uncertainty, isolation, job loss, work and academic stress, grief from financial or human losses), immigration issues, living in silence after sexual and emotional abuse, and more.

I will support you in understanding your strengths and needs and collaborate with you to help you create and maintain meaningful and healthy relationships – with yourself and others. You'll benefit from my warm validation, compassionate questioning, sensitive suggestions, unique insights, and careful listening as we work toward understanding belief systems, emotional responses and reactions. I will work with you to make sense of your experiences, better understand who you are, and figure out how to change the patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

I received my Master of Social Work in Advanced Clinical Placement from the University of Maryland Baltimore. I'm licensed by the Maryland Board of Professional Therapists and Counselors.
