Experiencing mental and emotional distress may feel similar to walking
down a dark, lonely pathway. A lack of support, direction, etc may result in feeling absolutely helpless and stuck. As a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit, Asia aims to cultivate a confidential therapeutic space, where the clients and her work together
to create a treatment plan that’ll provide the greatest therapeutic benefit possible. With Asia, her client’s mental wellbeing will always be her top priority as a professional.
Asia specializes in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and grief.
During sessions, she utilities CBT, DBT, and Multicultural Counseling Interventions to empower and support people of various backgrounds and intersectional identities.
Asia received her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Spelman College, and has
received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College. During her education, Asia has worked with numerous organizations that specialize in depression, trauma, anxiety, substance abuse, learning disabilities, and family dynamics. She has also
obtained lengthy experience working with clients of color, assisting in acknowledging the social and cultural impacts on clients’ emotional welfare.
