Hello! My name is Ashley Mickey. I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who is determined to remove the stigma associated with mental health.
It’s okay to not be okay.
A true advocate for mental health wellness, I enjoy helping individuals navigate through life problems pertaining to low self-esteem/self-worth, healthy relationships, stress management, trauma, suicidal behaviors, managing anxiety and depression. I am here to help you explore your needs in order to discern life patterns, focus on using strengths to adapt positively, and to grow. While emphasizing freedom, responsibility, independence, and self-expression my goal as a therapist is to provide a therapeutic atmosphere where clients direct the movement of his or her own treatment.
Using theory and practice, I seek to provide a safe and nurturing environment which encompasses encouragement, validation, laughter, empathy and unconditional positive regard to motivate clients towards growth. Any + all feelings are welcome here. Employing brief, strength-based interventions, I strive to assist clients in setting and achieving positive goals while maximizing potential and reaching complete self-awareness.
On the days you don’t know what to choose, choose your mental health.
About Imara Counseling, LLC
As a group mental health practice, Imara Counseling Services seeks to create a warm, inviting and safe space for clients to explore the unique challenges they are going through. Let's be honest, COVID-19 has really disrupted everything we view as normal. And as practice we work tenaciously with clients to see the positive changes and growth they desire. Our clinicians see therapy as a partnership and an opportunity for clients to benefit from the skills they attain.
We work with adults, teenagers, and children (5+) who are suffering with a range of concerns including relationship trouble, mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. We also see couples in all stages of their relationships. If you need help, reach out for help today!
