"The need to feel supported and be genuinely heard/understood is what I believe many individuals seek. Counseling allows me to be an active source of therapeutic support in clients’ lives. Meeting people where they are at mentally and emotionally and supporting them towards an improved quality of life are agendas with significant importance to me".
Ashley Mehu is walking in her purpose. Called to counsel, Ashley supports her clients through a reflective process from helping them break patterns that no longer serve them, often related to anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and general mental health, to unlocking the skills and strength within to move forward towards their desired quality of life.
Empathetic listening, effective communication, and unconditional acceptance allows safe space for processing to occur, a strong therapeutic relationship to form, and positive coping skills developed. This relationship, and allowing clients to be an active part of their treatment, is essential and a key element to what she believes can lead to a client's success and satisfaction.
