Ashley Hunt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Masters of Social Work at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, and families. Ashley’s clinical experience spans from addressing depression and anxiety stemming from physical trauma and sexual trauma, to racial trauma and childhood trauma. Ashley has a specialization in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, women’s reproductive health, grief, loss, and bereavement. Ashley is a culturally competent psychotherapist who values and respects the importance of bringing cultural differences into the therapy space.
Ashley is committed to life-long learning on multiculturalism and strives to integrate her knowledge to improve her clinical practice when working with clients from varying backgrounds. As a culturally competent therapist and LGBTQIA ally, Ashley utilizes a client-centered approach in order to provide a warm environment in which clients are encouraged to identify their therapeutic goals. Ashley encourages clients to actively participate in their treatment, soliciting frequent feedback and guiding them in promoting changes in their lives by highlighting clients’ individual strengths.
