“I stopped searching for the light. Decided to become it instead.”-Fran
I believe that each of us are in search of purpose. How we view our purpose is a collective of self-perception and knowledge we’ve gained through experience; on both a macro and micro level. Those combined help us to navigate how we interact and react within the world on the daily basis. My goal is to amplify your voice so that you can live and lead the life you curated.
I am currently a provisionally licensed counselor who has a myriad of work experience and years of study in acute inpatient, case management, recidivism, school-based therapy, and individual/group therapy. I find that my love is in working with children, youth, young adults and family systems with issues concerning but not limited to behavioral issues, self-esteem, trauma, interpersonal conflicts, body image, anxiety, depression, grief, family dynamics, transitions, and identity issues.
I use evidence-based practices such as person-centered theory, psychodynamic theory, family systems, and motivational interviewing. I know that each person’s journey is different and should be tailored to them, how they identify, and how they show up in the world.
I look forward to sharing this very personal journey with you. So, let’s heal and make it glorious. I am committed to meeting you where you are and respecting your perspective. I look forward to getting to know you.
