I imagine if you have found your way to Therapy for Black Girls that you are seeking out support and healing that meets your unique needs a African American in these very stressing times. I know that some of you have had therapy before and many may be seeking out an initial experience. Whether you are here seeking deep reflection, understanding of self and others, validation, new skills, shared experiences or just a space to vent in a safe way and WITHOUT JUDGEMENT, I am here to help!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that has been trained in a number of therapy techniques, which I learned to effectively tailor to the African American children, families and couples I have served for years. These therapy techniques include Attachment Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eco-systemic Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I use therapy skills, including mindfulness, to not only help you connect to self and others, the skills are also used to process how each clients' past experiences affects their current functioning in self, at work, within relationships and in relation to what is happening in society.
I work with the idea that each client is different and each client's therapy needs are different. In consultation, if we are not a match therapy wise, I will help you to identify a therapist or a specific therapeutic treatment that may best meet your needs.

Please reach out if you have more questions about therapy, or if you would like to schedule a consultation.
