Aqueelah Wheatley is a cultured African American Therapist who believes in challenging her clients to rediscover themselves through the lens of enhanced introspection, self-worth, and revived motivation. Aqueelah assists clients struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mood/behavioral disorders. In addition, Aqueelah works with couples and families to find their love language and grow through constructive and meaningful conflict resolution. Aqueelah's client population consists of adults, couples, and families.
Aqueelah’s education, training, and experience have opened opportunities for her to partner with diverse clientele, utilizing both systemic and evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Aqueelah’s goal is to walk alongside her clients as they journey and explore new perspectives and unlock new stages of change.
Known best for her enthusiastic, genuine and non-judgmental nature, Aqueelah relishes collaborating with her clients by finding what is uniquely incredible about them and introducing it through personalized strength-based and client-focused approaches that capture and excel their therapeutic needs and expectations.
Insurance
As an out-of-network provider, we do not work directly with many insurances, however we do provide documents (i.e. Superbills) to assist with monthly insurance reimbursement for those we do not currently accept. If your insurance company provides out-of-network reimbursement benefits, you could be reimbursed for some or all of your upfront session costs.
Before scheduling, check with your insurance company to find out if you have out-of-network coverage, how much they reimburse for out-of-network providers, and how you can file for reimbursement.
