Therapy for Black Women Rebuilding Identity After Survival

You've made it through.

The depression. The burnout. The heartbreak. The trauma. The season that asked more of you than you thought you could give.

And now life is no longer falling apart.

But something still feels unsettled.

You may find yourself asking questions that weren't possible when you were focused on simply making it through:

Who am I now?

What do I actually want?

What parts of me were shaped by survival?

What parts of me are still waiting to be discovered?

I'm Antonique Jones, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and I help Black women navigate life after survival.

Many of the women I work with are no longer in crisis. They are accomplished, thoughtful, and deeply resilient. They have learned how to carry responsibility, show up for others, and keep moving forward even when life is difficult.

But eventually survival stops being enough.

The coping strategies that once protected you may no longer fit. The roles you've carried for years may begin to feel restrictive. You may feel disconnected from yourself, uncertain about your next chapter, or aware that you've outgrown parts of your life but aren't yet sure what comes next.

Therapy offers space to explore those questions.

Together, we'll examine the experiences that shaped you, process the impact of difficult seasons, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath responsibility, expectations, or survival.

I integrate evidence-based therapy, narrative therapy, somatic approaches, and Brainspotting to support healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

You may be a good fit for this work if:

• You've spent years being the strong one for everyone else

• You're navigating life after depression, trauma, grief, burnout, or a major life transition

• Life looks stable on the outside, but you feel disconnected on the inside

• You're questioning who you are beyond your responsibilities and roles

• You're seeking greater clarity, purpose, and alignment in your life

You do not have to be in crisis to deserve support.

Sometimes therapy is not about surviving the storm.

It's about discovering who you are after it has passed.
