I approach the therapeutic journey from the perspective of a tour guide or a "helpful passenger" - you're in the driver's seat and I am along for the ride, offering suggestions or providing tools along the way. Ultimately, the journey is up to you; you will lead the therapeutic process with your goals of what you want to get out of our time together, and I'll try and keep us on track. Early in our first few sessions, we'll discuss what you'd like to accomplish in our sessions so that we have a roadmap, and we'll work together to help you reach those goals. I might suggest "homework" - short books, readings, journaling, worksheets, etc. to help illustrate a topic or a skill that might appeal to you, but you can decide if it's going to work for you. YOU are the expert of YOU, so you will determine what you need to succeed!
