My name is Amistic.
As human beings, we tend to feel overwhelmed with the unbalancing of life. That can look like stress, anxiety, pressure from family or peers. You are not alone.
The first step in overcoming is to acknowledge. With you here, you have completed step one. That in itself is a great step forward!
My theoretical approach is one that is client-centered; our interactions will be focused on how to help you with your situation, in order to promote increased self-awareness, confidence, healthy decision-making and overall improved functioning and emotional well-being. I also work with individuals using the strength based approach to show you that you are capable of all that you put your mind to. That can be working it out in your relationship, parenting/family conflicts, relieving anxiety or stress, or alleviating academic or professional struggles. In regards to cognitive behavioral therapy, we would work together to identify and change negative thought processes that lead to negative behaviors.
I am here to help you find that balance working together at your own pace. You decide what you would like to work on and I will be there with you every step of the way to be sure you gain the insight needed to have a healthier outcome.
