From the time we’re born, we require safe and trusting human relationships in order to survive and flourish. Therapy can be a place where you can find this type of connection. However, finding someone to connect with doesn’t always come easily. I offer a judgment-free zone where you can address areas that are important to you and I will support you to increase awareness of your feelings, thoughts and how they impact your actions. Therapy has the power to heal people from the inside out. Choosing to enter into therapy is a courageous decision that I deeply honor and respect. It says that you believe in your capacity for growth and healing.
I am a licensed Social Worker and Psychotherapist. My work is informed by my 15 years of experience working with adults, children/adolescents and their families. Using a collaborative and integrative approach, I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, life transitions, bullying, trauma, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, grief, and overall emotional well-being.
I work primarily from a psychodynamic, relationship-based model and I incorporate principles of mindfulness (DBT). Together, we will determine your goals and design the best treatment approach to meet your needs. We will develop your inner resources and build the tools you need to achieve your goals.
When you contact me, I will respond as soon as I am able to set up a brief phone call to hear more about you and offer any more information you would like.
